  • How to conduct AC withstand voltage test for series resonant device?

    The method of using aseries resonant devicefor AC withstand voltage testing is to change the inductance and frequency of the test circuit to make it in a resonant state. This method can meet the testing requirements of high voltage and high current. When using aseries resonant devicefor AC withstand voltage testing, the following points should be noted:

    1. Before conducting the experiment, it is necessary to know whether the non-destructive testing items of the tested equipment are qualified. If there are any defects or abnormalities, they should be eliminated before proceeding.


    2. The experimental site should be fenced and warning signs hung. And there is a dedicated person to supervise.


    3. Wipe the insulation surface of the tested equipment before testing, and ensure that the tested product casing and unmeasured winding are reliably grounded. For multi oil equipment, it should be left to stand for a certain period of time before testing.


    4. Adjust the gap between the protective balls to ensure that the discharge voltage is between 105% and 110% of the test voltage. There should be no significant difference after three consecutive tests, and check the reliability of the overcurrent protection device operation.


    5. Connect the wires according to the test wiring diagram. A dedicated person should check whether it is correct (including the distance to the ground, safety distance, etc.). Before preparing to apply pressure.  


    6. Before applying pressure, check if the regulator is in the zero position. Confirm that the pressure regulator can be pressurized after reaching zero position, and only proceed with the operation after shouting "Home High Pressure".


    7. For the boost speed, it can be slightly faster when the test voltage is less than 30%. At this time, the boost should be uniform, with a boost of 5% of the test voltage per second, or raised to the rated test voltage for 10-15 seconds.  


    8. During the boosting process, changes in the voltmeter and other instruments should be monitored. When the rated test voltage is 0.5 times, the capacitance current of the tested equipment should be read. When the rated voltage is reached, time begins to be calculated. Then read the capacitor current, slowly reduce the time to zero, and then disconnect the power supply;


    9. If the indicator of the voltmeter swings very much during the experiment, it will make abnormal noise and the indication of the millivolt meter will increase sharply. Smoke, fire, or continuous spark discharge on the insulation surface. Immediately reduce the voltage after placing a grounding wire on the high-voltage side and identify the cause;  


    10. When the experimental equipment is not clearly specified, the general tolerance time is 1 minute. The withstand time of insulating rods and other equipment is 5 minutes. After the experiment is completed, the grounding wire should be hung in a timely manner. Then, when in contact with relevant parts, there should be no heating phenomenon;


    11. The insulation resistance and absorption ratio of the test equipment should be measured before and after the experiment. There should be no significant difference between the two.
